This documentation is a personal endeavor, representing my journey in learning and understanding the dvmhost project found on GitHub. My primary focus with this project is its application within the realm of Project 25 (P25) digital radio communications.
I first became interested in digital radio through my involvement in emergency medical services as an EMT, where reliable radio communication is critical. This passion, combined with my background in technology, led me to explore P25 systems more deeply.
Professionally, I have worked in enterprise IT for over 11 years as both a systems administrator and a network administrator, giving me a strong technical foundation to support this hobby. I am an avid tech enthusiast and enjoy diving into complex systems and emerging technologies.
I currently hold both a GMRS license and a Business Radio License, and I am actively studying for my Amateur Radio Technician license.
You will not find any content here pertaining to DMR, NXDN, or other digital radio encoding schemes — this space is dedicated exclusively to P25.
Please note that all information and configurations presented here are experimental and intended solely for hobbyist use and personal education. Nothing here should be relied upon for mission-critical communications or used outside of a private, experimental radio setup.
