This section describes the process of building a P25 repeater using the DVMProject’s DVM-V1 Duplex Modem, a Raspberry Pi, and two Motorola CDM1250 radios (any CDM Series radio will work). While this guide outlines one approach, there are many different ways to set up a portable DIY repeater, and this is only one example.

Note: that this project is intended solely for my own licensed FCC Part 90 use. It should never be relied upon in emergency situations or in any context where lives may be at risk. The purpose here is to explore, learn, and expand knowledge of digital radio systems, not to create a mission-critical communications solution.
